The “Chimvano pa Chuma” -Unity for Economic Growth – IS&L project continues to assist families in Chikhwawa, Neno, Mwanza and Blantyre Rural. As part of the Malawi Microfinance Network, ASAP Malawi continues to help thousands of families take the first step out of poverty each year.

It is a private limited company which is engaged in the provision of loans to Malawian Civil Servants and employees in selected private companies. It is in all districts of the country. Its mission is to help alleviate poverty and create opportunities for personal growth and entrepreneuriMyBucks Banking Corporation Malawi, formerly known as New Finance Bank was licensed on 13th May, 2014 and commenced its operations on 24th July, 2015. MyBucks currently has over 10 branches and over 100 other points of representation. It also operates a foreign exchange bureau, situated at Gateway Mall Branch in Lilongwe.The bank has a staff compliment of over 200.al growth.

International Committee for the Development of People (CISP)
The International Committee for the Development of People (CISP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 1983, with its head office in Rome. CISP’s principles and objectives are summarized in its Declaration of Intent and Code of Conduct for Cooperation Programmes available on its website (www.sviluppodeipopoli.org). The Declaration of Intent entitled “For Rights and Against Poverty. The approaches and operational priorities of CISP – Development of Peoples” was drafted with the contribution of the Rome Office and all national offices.

MicroLoan Foundation (MLF)
MicroLoan Foundation (MLF) is committed to reducing poverty and inequality by providing microfinance services to impoverished women in remote rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. MicroLoan offers small loans, specialized business training and ongoing personal mentoring support enabling women to start their own small businesses. MicroLoan also facilitates saving and financial planning so women can work their way out of poverty.

Licensed micro finance commercial bank in Malawi with outlets that stretch country wide and a number of deliveries which include mobile vans, point of sale and cell phone. It was established in 2003.

Center for Community Organisation and Development (CCODE)
The Malawi Homeless People’s Federation (Federation) is a grassroots network of poor communities involved in community savings programs. The Federation was established in 2003 and to date has over 50,000 members in 26 districts across Malawi. Women are central to the organization and about 80% of the members are women. The majority of members live in poor urban and rural communities and their incomes are below the national poverty level. Community savings groups are the cornerstone of the Federation, as daily savings teaches members how to manage their finances and the importance of saving. Demonstration of savings and financial prudence in these groups enables them to access loans through a national revolving fund that is financially administered by CCODE, their technical support organization, and which is managed by the Federation members themselves.

Community Savings and Investment Promotion (COMSIP)
Community Savings and Investment Promotion (COMSIP) is a capacity enhancement initiative designed to inculcate the culture of savings and investment in both rural and urban communities. COMSIP will transform traditional savings and investment practices to formal savings and investment ventures thus generating income hence enabling the poor to come out of the poverty cycle. The main thrust is on savings mobilization and capacity building required by the poor communities to make savings decisions, and eventually invest from what they save.

Umunthu Microfinance was established in 2010 with a primary role to support small and medium entrepreneurs particularly with a higher percentage of women clients in both rural and peri-urban areas through the provision of credit, business trainings that promotes social economic growth and sustainability of their businesses. In addition, Umunthu Microfinance does provide charitable support to its clients, like paying school fees for needy children in government secondary schools and by assisting its clients in times of disaster such as floods or any form of clarity.
