Evangelical Lutheran Development Services (ELDS)
In 1999 Lutheran World Federation / Department for World Service (LWF/ DWS) developed guidelines for implementation of microfinance activities in all the LWF country programs in the Southern Africa. This was followed by a workshop organized in Bangladesh in 2001 where Evangelical Lutheran Development Program (ELDP) then was represented. At this time Lutheran Development Service (LDS) in Zimbabwe was an already implementing micro-finance project using the Savings and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) approach. Another exposure workshop was then organized in Bulawayo where some staff from various LWF country programs was invited to get exposed in order to initiate similar projects in their various country programs.
TEECs MICRO finance
TEECs Micro Finance exists to provide affordable sanitation financial products to households thereby becoming part of the solution in promoting and achieving a sanitized nation of Malawi, where deaths, sicknesses and discomfort from lack of basic sanitation will be no more.
Saile Financial Services Limited Company
Saile is mainly involved in the provision of credit facilities to its clientele. Currently it has one office in Mzuzu and one sales representative in Lilongwe. It exist to uplift people’s lives through the provision of easily accessed and timely credit facilities to their target market.
Greenwing Capital Financial Services Limited
Greenwing Capital Financial Services is a Microfinance Institution engaged in the provision of financial solutions to Civil Servants. It is a subsidiary of Real People South Africa which has operations in over 10 countries in Africa.
GreenRoot Finance Limited
GreenRoot Finance Limited is a microfinance Institution founded by a young Malawian Woman with the vision to be the leading provider of inclusive, innovative and transparent financial products for the underserved but economically active population in Malawi and, with time, in the region. The underserviced but economically active population comprises both those in formal employment and those involved in entrepreneurial activities.
Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR)
This is a public University in Malawi and it is one of its Departments (Department of Agribusiness Management) which had subscribed for MAMN membership. It is involved in teaching and supporting undergraduate students’ research in the area of Microfinance.
